Code of Conduct
Dismissing Students
- 6 weeks prior to the end of the year, the School principal and VPs meet to discuss students who need to be dismissed for academic or behavioral issues.
- Academic issues include: Missing too many days of school, Failing too many classes, etc.
- Behavioral issues include: Repeated fights, not following the rules, etc.
- Thereafter, a letter is written and signed by School Principal and sent to the Parents one month prior to the end of the school year.
Students are expected to abide by these instructions:
- Follow the directions.
- Attending classes on time and follow classroom rules.
- Entering and exiting the classes quietly
- Walking quietly in the halls all the times.
- Eating is prohibited during the periods
- Keeping classes clean and tidy.
- Staying in playground only during recess.
- Respecting the supervisors during recess
- Reporting all problems happening in the recess to supervisors.
Discipline
- Students are expected to be respectful and abide by the school’s values.
- Teachers are expected to be good examples and role models when disciplining students.
- Students who are beyond control in the classroom may be sent to the Hall Monitor.
- Hall Monitors need to enter the student’s name and grade on the computer AND issue the student a paper for parent’s signature AND follow-up that student brings the paper signed on the next day.
- If student has 3 such papers, then Hall Monitor must call Student Counselor. Student Counselor must call the parent and arrange a meeting with Student Counselor on the same day.
- Hall monitor should deprive the students from PE classes or break ( make sure he has his breakfast ) classes after informing the Student Counselor to sit with him who will also inform the Parent.
- After school detention with the student counselor until 2:15 so long as he communicates with the Parents.
- If such incidents continue next options are (in order)
- Parent Meeting with all of the students’ teachers and the student counselor
- Meeting with VP to give You’re Being Watched Form for 1 week / 2 weeks
- Suspension for x number of day(s)
- Parent must take student to a psychologist or doctor
- Discussion with parent about possible solutions
- Expulsion at the end of the year
